Blues Down Stamps 3 to 1

While the Blues may have been the visiting team on the scoreboard the familiar confines of the Ice Plex remained friendly as they beat the Swan Valley Stampeders 3 to 1.

Veteran Liam Kroeker led the way with 2 goals with Kevin Jackish and Matt LeBlanc assisting on the first and Kamerin Nault and Taeron Lewis assisting on the second.  Newcomer James McIsaac got one by the Swan tender un-assisted.

Also of note was a solid performance by Blues tender, Scott Parsons who rode a shutout until the 19:38 mark of the third when a bobbled puck led to a turnover and a Stampeders goal.

The win leaves the Blues in second place 2 points behind Portage and 2 points up on the third place Steinbach Pistons.

The boys take on Dauphin tonight (Sat Oct, 3rd) starting at 6 pm at the ice plex.
