Blues Drop One to Pistons

Following a pair of road wins, 5-2 vs Neepawa and 7 to 3 vs Dauphin the Blues returned home to face the Steinbach Pistons at the IcePlex.

Falling behind quickly the Blues caught their breath and fought back to within a goal where it stayed that way until three quarters-way through the third with the Pistons Tyler Penner getting his second of the night.

The Blues put the pedal to the floor but the Pistons defence stood their ground and late in the game potted an empty net goal to seal the deal.

Blues goal came on a power play late in the first, Josh Curtis scored from Kevin Jackish and Stephen Kleysen. Jacob Gnidziejko stopped 22 of the 25 shot directed his way.

Blues return to action this Thursday at 7pm at the Iceplex when the Portage Terriers come to town.
