BLUES ELIMINATED FROM PLAYOFFS IN 4-2 GAME SIX LOSS

The Winnipeg Blues season is over following a 4-2 loss to the Winkler Flyers in Game Six.

Winkler had an early jump and was able to find the opening goal of the game. The team that scored the first goal the game won each game in this series.

The Blues did get a quick response from Ryan Ostermann, but Josh Beauchemin’’s late power play goal gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead.

Winkler and Winnipeg played an even period to start the second, but the Flyers were able to put more distance between themselves and the Blues. 

Two late goals from Nicholas McKee and Jayden McCarthy extended the Flyers lead to 4-1 heading into the final period.

Brayden Foreman scored early in the third, but that goal would be the Blues’ last marker of the season

Winkler held on to defeat Winnipeg 4-2 in both the game and the series.
