The Dauphin Kings paid a visit on Friday night to the IcePlex. Following a scoreless period, the Blues, on the power play, opened the scoring 2:53 in when Lewis potted his 15th of the year. Less than 30 seconds later, Brooks made it 2-0 Blues. With 8:11 left, Esteves made it three zip with his 14th of his rookie season. Before long the Blues were up by four after Bilton’s 25th. The Kings were finally able to hit the scoreboard with 2:17 left to make it 4-1 after two.
In the third, following an early Kings goal, Jackson Keane skated through the Kings to make it 5-2. Nault closed out the scoring midway through the third to make it a 6-2 final.
Saturday night the Blues closed out their regular season hosting the Winkler Flyers. It was tied at one after one as Nault scored his 33rd of the year. The second period saw the Blues take the lead midway through with Brooks’ 22nd. Brooks extended the lead to 3-1 three minutes later but a Flyers powerplay goal with 3:40 left made it 3-2 with a period still to play.
On the powerplay in the final minute, Winkler was able to tie it up and send the game into overtime. With nothing decided it was onto the shootout. Down to the final attempt with the goaltenders holding the shooters at bay, the Winkler player was able to get one by Parsons, giving the Flyers a 4-3 shootout victory.
