Blues lose 7-6 to Way Way in a Shootout on a Subway Score Six Saturday Night

Despite thrashing the Wolverines just one week ago from the puck drop it was evident that this was a different Waywayseecappo team. More than half the team had changed along with a lot of attitude and effort that caused the Blues great difficulties all night long.

The first period saw the boys down 3 to 1 with Dale Goodbrandson (Bartlett & Kuczek) getting the Blues goal on the power play.

The flood gates were lifted for the second as the Blues potted 4 goals – Dexter Kuczek (Bartlett & Olstad), Codey Behun (Goodbrandson & MacGillivray), Codey Behun (Cicek & MacGillivray) and Kyle Wiltshire (Marques & Ladyman). Hover the Wolverines scored three to retain the lead going into the third.

Things settled down in the third where Joel MacGillivray (Marques & Wiltshire) potted the tieing goal on the power play. Overtime ensued however nothing was resolve despite several golden opportunities on both ends so it was off to the dreaded shoot-out.

In the shoot out it was Wayway prevailing with shooters scoring twice to the Blues gooseegg so they walked away with the extra point.

Next Blues action is Sunday when the Dauphin Kings roll into town to do battle. Game time is 630 pm at the ice-plex.

Go Blues!!!
