Blues Stuck In The Ditch As Blizzard Comes To Town

There was a flurry alright, a flurry of goals being traded back and forth between the Blues and the visiting OCN Blizzard. Stephen Kleysen opened the scoring on a power play five minutes in with assists from Forseth and Jackish.  OCN answered a minute later as Harland found the back of the net.  Again, less than a minute later the Blues returned the favour as Gianluca Esteves assisted by Liam Kroeker.

The Keeper brothers each scored moving the Blizzard into the lead.  Taeron Lewis got the boys back within one at the 17 minute mark but former Blue Maverick Rafter scored on the power play to end a wild first period.

The second period settled down with both teams exchanging goals – the Blues Lewis got his second as did OCNs Harland. The third saw OCN pot an insurance marker taking the lead to two before Joel MacGillvray ripped a wrist shot blocker side to bring the Blues within one again.

A chance for redemption comes on Sunday at 6 30 pm with the Winkler Flyers coming to town.  Go Blues!!!
