Blues Sweep Northern Trip

It’s a daunting task playing three in three on the road but the Blues were up to the challenge this past weekend.

It started Friday night with a 5-4 victory in OCN and that was followed up Saturday with another game versus the Blizzard, this time a 6-4 decision.  Both goaltenders walked away with victories in OCN, Scott Parsons with a 14 save performance on Friday and Brian Archibald with 25 saves Saturday night.  Goal scorers Friday night were Esteves with two and singles going to Rowswell, Hall and Brooks.  Saturday night, Nault and Jackson Keane notched two goals each with Hall and Lewis chipping in as well.

The Blues closed out the weekend with an impressive 6-1 win in Swan Valley.  Parsons led the way with 30 saves.  Rookie defenceman Ryan Mutch opened the scoring with his 1st of the season and that was followed with goals by Halstensgard, Bittner, Jackson Keane, Nault and Hansen.

Next up, the Blues host the Dauphin Kings on Thursday, Feb 12th.
