Blues Topple Capitals 3 to 1

While the weather outside was frightful the game inside was quite delightful as the Blues topped the visiting Varden Oil Capitals 3 to one in front of a surprising large crowd.   The game came alive late in the first with the help of a solid tilt between the Blues Tyler Edwards and Virdens Dylan Cusmano with Edwards scoring a number of big right hands. While no goals were scored in the second the pace was up and the intensity of both teams very high.   Then in the third while on a power play, a pointshot from Nathan Snoek found it’s was through several players including the Varden goalie, assists to Esteves and Pruden. Varden countered late in the third to tie things at one. This was short-lived as Rilley Hillis snapped one home a minute later, assists to LeBlanc and Esteves.   With the Varden Goalie on the bench for the extra attacker the Blues Captain Taeron Lewis took a pass from Keane and fired one the length of the ice for the insurance marker. Blues win 3 to 1.   Next action is Sunday the 24th at 2:30 pm
