Our next graduating player was someone you did not want to meet either in the corner or coming through the middle on a rush. Tyler Edwards played a hard physical game and made bodychecks that would have made Scott Stevens proud.
Coming over in a mid season trade with the Selkirk Steelers, Edwards immediately made his mark both defensively, with his devastating body checks but offensively as well. With strong skating he moved the puck well all over the ice including some classic end to end rushes. In addition, he possessed a cannon for a shot which found the back of the net in many much needed scoring situations. He finished the regular season with 6 goals and 8 assists for the Blues.
On behalf of the Blues and their fans, we would like to wish Tyler all the best in his future endeavours.
