The Winnipeg Blues announced their Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Player of the Month for the month of October is Dexter Kuczek. The 19 year old from Winnipeg was acquired in a trade this past summer from the Selkirk Steelers and has delivered in the first month. Kuczek currently leads Winnipeg in scoring with points (11g, 10a) in his first 16 games with the club. Kuczek is currently on a eight game point-streak, and has recorded at least a point in 12 of the first 16 games this season, including a five-point (3g, 2a) night against Neepawa September 28th.
