The second game of a home and home turned into quite a spirited affair with the Blues coming out on top 3 to 0. Taeron Lewis opened the scoring on the power play eleven minutes in, assists to Forseth and Nault. Riley Hillis followed up a few minutes later assisted by Esteves. From there it turned into a bit of a slugfest and goalie show with lots of physical play and great saves. Parsons stood his ground on several partial breakaways and odd man rushes keeping the Steelers off the board. The third saw the physical play continue until a pair of altercations occurred. Brock Shwaluk and Victor Knaub squared off in the first bout with Shwaluk landing several huge haymakers, judges score the bout Shwaluk. In the next bout saw Joel Macgillivray and Brady Castellano square off, a seeming mismatch with Castellano having a huge size advantage however the quick hands of Macgillvray once again had the judges score in Macgillvrays favour. With the Steelers goalie pulled, Kevin Jakish out hustled the Steelers defender and popped an empty net insurance marked with a buck and a half to go. Parsons finished up with a very nice shutout – his third on the season to go with a 2.63 gas and a .911 save percentage. Going into the back end of the regular season Kam Nault sits in 4th in league scoring with 47 points and Taeron Lewis is 12th with 38 points.
