PISTONS BEAT BLUES 4-1 IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE

The Steinbach Pistons defeated the Winnipeg Blues 4-1 in the regular season finale.

 

Garett Zasitko opened the scoring for the Blues 52 seconds into the game with his 13th goal of the season, but that’s all Winnipeg would get.

 

Davis Fry scored on a five-on-three to tie the game which led to a tied game 1-1 after one.

 

In the second period, Steinbach got goals from Zach Power, Owen Weihs, and Travis Hensrud to put themselves up 4-1.

 

The Blues couldn’t get a comeback going in the third, falling in their last game of the regular season.

 

Winnipeg finishes 3rd in the East Division and 6th in the MJHL with a 29-22-1-2 record.

 

The Blues face off with the Winkler Flyers in round one – Game One comes Friday night at Centennial Arena.
