Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Blues dropped its pre-season opener 7-1 to the Selkirk Steelers at the RINK Training Centre on Thursday night.
2002-born forward Braden Fischer scored the lone goal for the Blues, assisted by 2004-born forward Kyle Grysiuk and 2002-born defenceman Carter Bateman.
Ryan Ostermann and Mathieu Catellier each scored two goals for the Steelers.
