Post Game Report | Blues give up three unanswered in the third period, drop 5-2 decision to Selkirk

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Blues surrendered three unanswered goals in the third period en route to a 5-2 loss to the Selkirk Steelers in MJHL pre-season action on Thursday night.

That game was played at the Selkirk Recreational Complex.

Matthew Hill and Brayden Foreman scored the goals for the Blues, while Conner Grunsten and Mikol Sartor collected the assists. Goaltender Cooper Hatfield stopped 32-of-37 shots in the game.

The Steelers were led by Caiden Gault who potted four goals. Goaltender Riley Morgan blocked 10-of-12 shots he faced through 40-minutes of play. Cole Plowman stopped all three shots that came his way in the third period.
