READ: DAWSON GREEN NAMED MJHL STAR OF THE WEEK

One goal and two great games make Winnipeg Blues starting goalie Dawson Green one of the MJHL Stars of the Week.

Dawson Green picked up two wins for the Blues over the Selkirk Steelers. He first stopped 25 of 27 shots on the road on Friday for a 4-2 win. The next night, he was perfect against 23 pucks he faced for a 3-0 victory. It was his first shutout with the Blues.

He also scored his first MJHL goal, tucking the puck into the right corner of the empty net with a shot from behind his own goal line. The goal was the first goal by a netminder since 2013.

Green has now won all nine starts he’s had this season.

STATS: 2 games, 2 wins, 1 goal, 1 shutout, 1.00 GAA, .960 save percentage.
