Winnipeg Blues 2025 Spring Development Camp Announcement
The Winnipeg Blues are excited to announce our 2025 Spring Development Camp, taking place May 16-18, 2025, at The Rink Training Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This camp is designed to provide young, motivated hockey players with a high-quality development experience while offering an opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive environment.
About the Camp: This camp is for players who exemplify the qualities we seek—dedicated athletes and strong individuals both on and off the ice. We believe in developing players who have the potential to compete at the Junior “A” level in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
Camp Objectives:
- Provide a weekend of high-level competition and development sessions, both on and off the ice.
- Educate players on the Winnipeg Blues’ development pathway and program offerings.
- Offer an in-depth tour of our new facility and its resources.
- Allow our Hockey Operations staff to evaluate players based on their on-ice performance, character, coachability, and off-ice athleticism.
Camp Structure: Participants will receive approximately five hours of ice time, including:
- Full-ice 5v5 games
- A goalie-specific session
- A skill and tactical development practice
- A chance to compete in the Blue vs. White showcase game on Sunday
Coaching & Development Staff:
- Josh Gratton – Head Coach and General Manager of the Winnipeg Blues
- Dustin Boyd – Assistant Coach of the Winnipeg Blues
- Chet Pickard – Former pro goalie and Winnipeg Blues Alumni
- Special guests and speakers
Eligibility & Registration: Open to 2008, 2009, and 2010 Manitoban players. All registrations will go through a review process to ensure a competitive event and to ensure quality individual coaching and evaluation.
