
Winnipeg Blues announce commitments by Foreman, Unruh and Hatfield
Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Blues announced on Wednesday that 2001-born forward Brayden Foreman, 2000-born defenceman Ethan Unruh and 2001-born goaltender Cooper Hatfield have committed to the organization.
“The Winnipeg Blues are extremely excited about the commitment of Brayden, Ethan and Cooper,” said Taras McEwen, Blues General Manager. “We’re thrilled that they chose to continue their hockey development in our program which we feel so strongly about.”
Foreman, a native of Winnipeg, MB, played his first full season with the Blues during the 2018-2019 campaign. In 54 regular season games, he scored seven goals and added 27 assists for 34 points. Foreman added two assists in six playoff games.
Unruh, also from Winnipeg, MB, will enter his third season with the organization this fall. The six-foot-four, 207-pound defender suited up in 59 games last season recording three goals and eight points. Unruh added one assist in five playoff games.
Hatfield is a six-foot-one, 161-pound goaltender from Kenora, ON. He posted a 3.11 goals against average and a .919 save percentage in 35 games with the Kenora Thistles Midget AAA of the Manitoba Midget Hockey League.’
