Winnipeg Blues receive commitment from 2001-born forward Josiah Vanderhooft

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Blues announced on Thursday that 2001-born forward Josiah Vanderhooft has committed to the organization.

The East St. Paul, MB native played 42 regular season games with the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League during the 2018-2019 campaign. Vanderhooft scored seven goals and added five assists for 12 points in those 42 games. He also suited up in four playoff games with the Steelers last season.

The year before, Vanderhooft registered 50 points in 48 regular season games with the Winnipeg Thrashers of the Manitoba Midget Hockey League.
