Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Blues announced on Thursday that 2000-born defenceman Nick Trudel and 2002-born forward Jack Oleksiuk have signed with the organization.
Trudel, from Selkirk, MB, played 28 regular season games with the New Jersey Rockets of the U.S. Premier Hockey League Premier Division during the 2018-2019 season. In those 28 games, Trudel registered one goal and five points.
The six-foot-five, 201-pound defender also played 18 regular season games for the New Jersey Rockets of the U.S. Premier Hockey League Elite Division. Trudel scored five goals and added 10 assists for 15 points . He added one assist in three playoff games.
Oleksiuk, from Winnipeg, MB, played 65 regular season games with the Sioux Falls Power U16 of USA Hockey’s Tier 1 Division last season. In those 65 games, the five-foot-seven, 147-pound forward registered 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points.
Oleksiuk also played 16 games with the Sioux Falls Power U16 of the North American Prospects Hockey League, registering 10 goals and 18 points. He added two goals and seven points in five playoff games.
