Billet families play an important role in the lives of our players. For many of them, it is their first time moving away from home and we need you to help make this transition as seamless as possible. Billet families must be willing to open their homes and hearts to our players while providing them with a safe and comfortable environment. In return our players are also expected to display nothing but respect and courtesy to their host families and contribute to daily life in the household.
Those who become a member of the Blues family will play a significant supportive role in the day to day experience for our players allowing them to grow as athletes, students, and most importantly as young men. In addition to sharing their successes during the season, oftentimes players form a lifelong relationship with their billet family and stay in touch for years to come.
To qualify as a billet family, families are required to provide a player with their own room from the start of training camp through the end of the season and provide the player with his meals. In exchange, billet families receive a stipend to help pay for groceries, complimentary tickets to home games, and invitations to team events.
