Blues Shine in Overtime

In addition to being Blues Alumni night that featured two Alumni games it was free manicure night as everyone was biting their fingernails throughout the night.

Swan jumped out to an early 2 goal lead as the Blues were starting to wake up from their pre-game nap. Taeron Lewis got the boys back within on at the 13 minute mark of the game with assists going to Nault and Stefanson.

Swan again opened the scoring in the second but the Blues Brenden Bartlett answered back with a point shot on the power play, assists going to Hansen and Kroeker.

Now wide awake the Blues scored a pair – Nault from Keane and Hillis and Macgillivray from Esteves and Kroeker to finally take a lead in the game. That however was short-lived as Swan scored on a screened pointshot to tie things up. So it was off to overtime where the teams traded chance until Ryan Pruden took a Mitch Hansen pass and buried it for the win and a big two points.
