The Blues struggled against the Terriers 6-2 in home game

The Winnipeg Blues' defense had a poor night, allowing the Portage Terriers 25 shots throughout the game. The Portage Terriers took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Daniel Mckitrick.

Brandon Marques did his part, adding 2 goals and Ethan Unrau contributed with 2 assists. Daniel Mckitrick delivered for his team with 2 goals and James Mcisaac chipped in with 2 goals.

During the first period, Marques opened the scoring for Winnipeg with a goal at 7:38 with helpers from his linemates, Unrau and Olstad. Funk answered for Portage with a goal at 13:30 with assists from teammates Santin and Doyle.

In the second, Mckitrick netted a goal at 5:04 with helpers from Leipsic and Dwyer. Mckitrick quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:21 with assists from his linemates, Leipsic and Brakel. Mcisaac put in a goal at 13:52.

In the third period, Mcisaac scored a goal at 4:15 with a helper from Sokoloski. Sokoloski deposited a goal at 10:00 with assists from Leipsic and Doyle. Marques answered for the Blues with a goal at 19:54 with helpers from his linemates, Unrau and Behun.
