July 9, 2019 – 50 Below Sports + Entertainment (“50 Below”) is proud to announce the inaugural FORE The Love of the Game Golf Tournament in support of scholarships for grassroots hockey development.
The tournament will be hosted at Kingswood Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 with tee off at 1:00PM and will consist of a nine-hole round in a Texas Scramble format. The net proceeds from the event fund scholarships for players from the RINK Hockey Academy, Winnipeg Blues, and Winnipeg ICE.
“Supporting the academic achievements and educational goals of student athletes is very important to our organization,” said David Blatt, President, 50 Below. “At 50 Below Sports + Entertainment, we are passionate about bringing sports and community together – and having a lot of fun while doing it. The tournament will be a great way to celebrate grassroots hockey development and raise money to support our players’ successful futures.”
Some highlights that golfers can expect on the course include:
- Prizes for the winning team, and for golfers who win the putting contest, closest to the pin and longest drive challenges
- Athletic massage stations courtesy of RINK Testify Performance
- Unique ways to advance your score, including opportunities to use RINK Hockey Academy/ICE/BLUES players’ shots
Following the round, guests will enjoy dinner and a hot stove that will feature ICE Head Coach James Patrick, Winnipeg ICE Players and other special guests that will be announced closer to the date.
50 Below Sports + Entertainment will be accepting registrations from both single golfers and foursomes starting today. Registration fees are $100 per golfer and $400 per foursome until July 31st, 2019. Registrations completed after July 31stwill be $125 per golfer and $500 per foursome.
The registration cost will include your round, cart, steak dinner and a gift of appreciation.
