BLUES FALL 1-0 TO KINGS

The Winnipeg Blues were shutout at home against the Dauphin Kings 1-0, losing their third game in a row.

Hayden Laquette scored the game’s only goal early in the first, getting his shot from the blue line through a crowd and Dawson Green. This goal was Laquette’s first since October 3.

The rest of the game saw the Kings push while not letting the Winnipeg push back in a meaningful way. Dauphin outshot the Blues 40-14 in the game, and moved to 14-0-0 when leading after two periods.

Green played a spectacular game, but his team couldn’t find an equalizer. Carson Cherepak picked up his league-leading third shutout of the season, and Dauphin took the two points onto the bus.

The Winnipeg Blues and Dauphin Kings will finish off their home-and-home tonight in Dauphin at 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen in to the action at Credit Union Place on mixlr.com/gametimeradiomb.
