Pre Game Report | Winnipeg Blues open season against the defending MJHL champion Portage Terriers

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Blues begin the 2019-2020 regular season against the Portage Terriers at Stride Place on Friday night.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 P.M. CT.

Friday’s game is the first of a home-and-home series with the Terriers. Friday’s game can be streamed live at CJOB.com starting at 7 P.M.

The Blues went 1-4 during the pre-season. They’re coming off of a 4-0 loss to the Selkirk Steelers on Sunday, September 15. Goaltender Matthew Merkel stopped 36-of-40 shots between the pipes for the Blues.

The Blues host its home opener against the Portage Terriers on Sunday, September 22. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:30 P.M. at the RINK Training Centre.
