A total of Three Winnipeg Blues players have been selected to participate in the MJHL-SJHL Showcase which is being held January 31 – February 1, at Seven Oaks Sportsplex in Winnipeg, MB.
The event provides high performance exposure in front of NHL, WHL, NCAA and USPORTS scouts. The 2023 edition of the joint showcase is the first in Manitoba and first since 2020 in Regina, after both the 2021 and 2022 showcases were canceled due to the global pandemic.
A total of six teams will compete in the showcase event, with three teams from both the MJHL and SJHL. All teams have been selected by the showcase coaching staff of their respective leagues forming one 18U roster, and two 20U rosters.
Tyler Dodgson will play on Team MJHL – 18U White.
The Defenceman from Winnipeg MB which was acquired from the Portage Terriers in December registered 2 goals and 7 assists for a total of 9 Points in 10 Games Played.
Brandon Funk will play on Team MJHL – 18U White.
The Forward from Winnipeg, MB which was acquired from the Portage Terriers in December has registered 14 goals and 7 assists for a total of 31 points in 34 Games Played.
Luke Janus will play on Team MJHL – 18U White.
The Forward from Winnipeg, MB has registered 20 goals and 25 assists for a total of 45 points in 40 games played in his rookie year. He leads all rookies in the MJHL in goals and points.

Mandolidis will join Paul Dyck and Taylor Harnett on the bench as an Assistant Coach of Team MJHL 18U White during the showcase.
