Blues Very Excited About Bantam Draft Picks June 12, 2015

The MJHL held its 2015 Bantam Draft on Sunday, June 7th in Neepawa.  With a very strong group of players to choose from, the Blues organization were very happy with the selection they made.

With their first pick, 9th overall, Winnipeg chose forward Marcus Sekundiak of Oak Bluff.  Sekundiak suited up for the Central Plains Capitals AAA this past season.  Scouts were really impressed with the 5'9", 140 pounder who has great skills, good skater, and never takes a shift off.  Sekundiak was used in all Click here to continue

Cole Berreth June 3, 2015
The Winnipeg Blues are pleased to announce that Cole Berreth has committed to play with the Portage College Voyageurs (ACAC) in Lac La Biche, Alberta.  Cole was acquired from the Melville Millionaires at the trading deadline.  The Blues wish to congratulate Cole as he continues his hockey career with the Voyageurs. Brooks and Bilton Commit to Bison May 28, 2015

A pair of Winnipeg Blues veterans will be suiting up for the University of Manitoba for the upcoming season.  Liam Bilton and Brett Brooks have both commited to play for the Bison after their junior careers came to an end this spring.

20 year old Brooks had a career high in goals (23), assists (39), points (62) and penalty minutes (107).  Brooks says the competition in the MJHL helped prepare him for the college game.
