Friday night the Blues traveled to Virden to take on the Oil Capitals. The Blues came back in the third from two goals down to take the game to overtime. On the powerplay in OT, Ezra Hall finished off the comeback 2:13 in giving the Blues the 5-4 victory.

Saturday night saw a rematch of last year's MJHL final with the Blues hosting the Dauphin Kings.
The opening period gave the goalies a bit of a rest as much of the play was either in the neutral zone or fighting for the puck in the corners. With the shots only 4 to 3 for the Kings, the first finished scoreless.

The entire Winnipeg Blues organization would like to express its heartfelt condolences to the family of 21 year old Cole Hamblin, who lost his battle with cancer earlier this week. Cole suited up for 12 games for the Blues in the 2012/13 season. He also suited up for Selkirk, Portage, and most recently, Virden, in the 2013/14 season.Click here to continue
