Blues Season Ends In Steinbach April 3, 2015

The Blues needed to pick up their game Thursday night in Steinbach if they wanted their season to continue.

However the Pistons jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first.  Their first goal was on the powerplay 5:47 in.  The Pistons got it to 2-0 with 8:08 left and finished off the period with 56 seconds remaining for a 3-0 advantage.

Pistons Take 3-1 Series Lead April 2, 2015

The Blues looked to rebound from two straight overtime losses as they hosted the Steinbach Pistons Wednesday night at the IcePlex.

The game started slow, with numerous stoppages in the opening minutes as both teams had trouble getting their legs going.  It wasn't until six and a half minutes in until someone would finally hit the scoreboard.  However it was the visitors as a Piston snuck in behind the Blues defence on a stretch pass and it was 1-0 after one.

Blues Downed in Overtime March 30, 2015

With the series tied at one a piece, the Blues and Pistons renewed acquaintances Sunday night in Steinbach.

Similar to Friday night's double overtime thriller, the only goals scored in regulation were by both teams in the first period.  Steinbach took the lead five minutes in and that stood until Scott Rowswell's second of the playoffs tied it at one with 1:48 to go in the period.

After two games, the MJHL semi-final between the Blues and Pistons is knotted at one as both teams have won on the road to open the series.

Wednesday night in Steinbach, the Blues jumped out to a two goal lead before the game was five and a half minutes old. Liam Bilton's goal less than a minute in was followed a few minutes later with one of his own from Mack Heisinger.
