Cole Hamblin October 9, 2014

Three weeks ago, Cole Hamblin, who plays university hockey, was flown home from Ontario to seek medical treatment due to ongoing back pain.  He has been admitted to the hospital ever since, undergoing testing.

On Friday, his biopsy results came back with a diagnosis of Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma, Stage 4.  This is a very rare case of salivary gland cancer, which has mestastasized to his bones and spinal cord.  They are keeping Cole comfortable and have assembled a small team of specialists who are consulting with the Click here to continue

Player Spotlight:  Scott Parsons

This second year veteran grew up with sister Kate, and son to Darcy and Jim, in Ft. Francis, ON anc came to the Winnipeg Blues from the Kenora AAA Midget team.  Whilst also playing volleyball and soccer, Scott's main passion has always been hockey, and he plans to continue his career into College.  Scott is now in his 11th season of hockey, and says it's the love of the game and his competitive side that has kept Click here to continue
